Today.  First live game.  Yeah!
Sunny cool day after too much rain.
Koichi’s eldest son, Kyosuke, age 7 plays today.
Venue a large kids’ sports field not far from home on foot.
Google map in hand, march off toward the North Mountains.
Over, around, through this impressive barrier?  Ah kids’ voices!
Koichi said,  “Shudo team will be in the NW corner.”  Good at compass I
Navigate to the Shudo corner.  Four teams all play at once.  The air
Resounds with kids’ shouts all around.  League limited to 7, 8, 9
Year olds.  Size ranges from giants to tres petits.  Shudo’s one
Girl is a very, very tres petite.  Kyosuke, number 11, is
On/off the bench with game underway.  Southpaw
Outfielder with limited playtime.  BUT he’s at
Third base position when Shudo’s at bat.
Finally in last inning gets field spot
For a few minutes.  Game ends.
3 – 3 tie.  Drawing to find a
Winner. Complex modus.
Team retreats for a
Long harangue
